5th December
This is our first official day in Suzhou. As we were waiting in the main lobby of our hotel for dinner, people decided to have a chat to familiarize with each other.
6th December
Our second day in Suzhou ends with having dinner in a western restaurant. The food was quite expensive for its quality.
7th December
Here we are inside Wang Shi Yuen, also known as the Master-of-Nets garden. Fellows students are taking a tour around the garden as our tutor Stan Fung explained the secrets of the craftsmanship of the garden.
8th December
During our visit in Zhou Zheng Yuen, one of our tutor Mr. Duan led a tour around a garden to explain different points of interests in the garden. Here we are in the Ying Yang building, where Mr. Duan explains how the room on the east side is exactly the same on the west side.
9th December
As this was a day off for us to finish our collages, some students decided to order KFC for lunch and had the food delivered to the hotel.
10th December
Our final day in Suzhou ends with a dinner in a high-class chinese cuisine. The food was really satisfying and the restaurant itself had a really nice setup.
11th December
Our tutors led the class to a bar located in the YMCA building, which had a spectacular view of Wai Tan a.k.a. the Bund. We could see all the major skyscrapers in the city centre.
12th December
The class split into 2 groups for dinner that day and our group went to eat in a Shanghai-ness restaurant.
13th December
Our group visited the Da She Architecture firm and one of the directors of the firm gave us a powerpoint presentation about their firm and their works.
14th December
The final dinner for our trip was also in a Shanghai-ness restaurant called Dian She Liu. Here we can see the class presenting a photo album of this trip to our tutor Stan Fung as a gift.
